Thanks, one shipping container and 7 carloads later we are here. The most important part was finalised 5 mins ago when I realised I could join three TV cables together and we have TV again.

Iinet have given us a changeover date of thursday the 28th, which seems ludicrous given Tel$tra connected the phone last monday, but there it is.

The Gaming PC "may" be back online, if it likes d/l units over a shared 3G connection.

If you jump on whirlpool and talk to one of the iinet rep's they may be able to speed up the process.

6 days to go, not that I'm counting mind.

Think it will be a trip to the markets next saturday to celebrate with a new GTX 460.

Sweet: thumbup:

Gave into temptation myself and ordered a 560Ti and a 2600K from Computer Alliance, prices where better than the Computer Fair at Terrigal last week end and I had them the next day to my Work Address.
Unfortunately I wont be able to plug them into a dedicated rig just yet.
Changing out the i5 2400 & 460 SE will get the better of me in the meantime

Also keen to have a look at the Newcastle Markets.
Anyone visit these regularly, last weekend was my first visit sto a PC market since the 486DX/PIII days.

Actually now considering a 560 for my HTPC, seeing as its on 24/7 , bonus being a bit of big screen gaming now and then too.

Do Nvidia output sound over HDMI yet, or they still do that silly loopback thing?

My GTX460 outputs sound through the DVI-HDMI connector for my HTPC. Buggered if I know how I got it to work though, it didn't when I first plugged it all in.

EDIT - no SPDIF cable either!

I've been up late the last two nights surfing and catching up with water cooling hardware and the like.
I haven't been through OCAU forums yet, just jumping randomly from site to site.
Anyone have an informed opinion or links for a 'Sometimes Grumpy Middle-aged Man/Child' as 'She who must be obeyed' commented after looking over my sholder @ 2 am last night.

I see MSY is open today and seeing as my GTX460SE cannot fold anymore, folding keeps klling the PC I might have to see what funds I have in the kitty.

This is just what I don't need and seeing it is my main box I cannot have it not working, a few hrs even at stock clocks sees the box lock solid. The fans have not been all that happy on this card either & I thought Gigabyte was a reasonable brand.
I guess warranty is void seeing as it has been overclocked... I hope they have some decent cards left there @ MSY!

Teddy

BTW Nice pickup Sean on the new system, should be a real killer points wise! Terrigal is a nice spot on the central coast too.

I've been caught out by that as well!

Basically, the 400 series has a built in sound adaptor, and it's pot luck if it gets set as the default or not.

Killer cards, worth the investment imo

You would still have warranty unless its been hardware over clocked / over volted.

Well I got a 560Ti to replace the 460SE which has got a 9800 GTX+ in atm.
Once the 9800GTX+ dumps it load I'll do the swap.
Its the -oneunit flag isn't it for GPU2. (the 98GTX+ is non-fermi you see)

late to the party but -pause would have sufficed too I assume.

Thats my 9550, the HTPC 9400, and the dual 8800 box back online finally.

My sister seems to think she is going to pay me the $200 she owes me for Mums new TV this week, that is definitely going to mean a trip to the markets next saturday.

I'm over shuffling the same old hardware around, its time for some new stuff!
