It might just be your phone, Anandtech had it with reasonable attenuation figures

Unlucky i think , seems not to effect everyone including me, i have no issues at all with mine

Is there different models of this phone like the Galaxy2.

One for optimised for telstra and another for the rest of the networks?

The one I want to get has the following networks:

HSPA/WCDMA:
- 900/ AWS/ 2100 MHz

Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE:
- 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 MHz

I am very annoyed today.

I dropped my phone once, first time I have, and the screen is cracked.

This Gorilla glass is jus marketing bullshit if one drop causes a broken glass.

I dropped mine on Saturday.. phone was in lap as i was driving wifes car and we were heading out.. she had a sweating water bottle in holder and i picked up my phone from next to it so it wouldnt get damaged.. got out of car and whammo..

I was annoyed to say the least..

Im still waiting on my silicone grommet from HK to arrive.. been about 12 days so far..

Went to a phone repair shop today to get a price on replacing the digitizer: $150.

Bought a replacement digitizer off eBay for $30.

the $2 condom cases from ebay would have saved you the trouble lol

my htc was flung from 5 feet high to concrete floor front facing down.

Yeah, but they look bad! I had a BestSkinsEver skin on the front and back. The front skin has helped prevent me getting glass shards everywhere

I wouldn't mind finding a nice looking case for the Sensation though.

Cases look shit, they make the phone bigger in the hand and you miss the whole point of having a good looking phone. I don't even use a screen protector.

looks bad but costs a buttload of time and effort every time you drop your phone.

pretty obvious decision..

i dropped my SGS so many times but since it always had a gel case, it was always fine

there is only one model of SGS2. telstra saying theirs is 'optimised for nextG' is complete marketing bullshit. if you buy one from vodafone/optus/overseas and slam a telstra sim in, you'll get all the 850mhz 3G you can muster, just the same as a telstra model.
