Random squealing noise Asus Xonar Essence STX

    Hey

    Ever since i installed this sound card in my PC a few months ago, i have had this problem where all of a sudden out of no where an incredibly loud screeching/squealing noise would come out of my headphones for 30seconds or so and then it would stop. Very annoying when it happens while the headphones are on my head as its so loud that it hurts. Just wondering whether other people have had similar problems, and whether i should bother trying to get the card replaced..

    had this problem too but with a creative xtrememusic and auzentech prelude. I fixed it by putting electric tape on the bracket.

    Can you please elaborate? You mean we just need to put insulation between sound card and the computer case?
