its been several days (pc being on) with memory remap=of 4x2g sticks at 4 4 4 12 2.1volts.
all stable under xp i get: 2.75 g free ram + 4g of unmanaged memory avaliable(eboostr) i done 2 loopss of mem86+4.20 today + ram(tested to 6g) seen passes (this is using mix ram cosair+crucial blastic, just for funn/) and it works. but i only get 2+ gig of free ram under win7 64bit so mixing ram + voltages seams ok. even at 4 4 4 12 . cosair is 2.1, crucial is 2.0 voltage The fact that its stable after 3+ days at 4 4 4 12 2.1v, and instantly unstable if memory remap is on. wierd that 5 5 5 18 1.8v will pass a 12+ stress test, but become unstable in the o/s if pc on for 3+ days? memory remap feature bug? bios voltage problem/settings?

From what i've read elsewhere, it's a voltage issue. Although seems more a board memory issue from what you are saying.

iv given up.
cosair, say some boards have iss ru at ddr2800 , they say set it to 667. but 3 days later it gets unstable too.. i found even witn memory remaped feature off in bios, system still gets unstable... asus tech support says.. ask ram makers, or set up ram as in qvl memory listed faster the ram, more unstablie it is. more ram more unstable. tried nockink up voltages, + slacking timmings etc.. im stumped... Thank you for contacting ASUS Customer Service. If you install Windows 32-bit version operating system, we recommend that you install less than 3GB of total memory. If more than 3GB memory is required for your system, then below two conditions must be met: 1. The memory controller which supports memory swap functionality is used. Chipsets later than Intel 975X, 955X, Nvidia NF4 SLI Intel Edition, Nvidia NF4 SLI X16, and AMD K8 CPU architecture support memory swap function. So please enable remap function in BIOS if you use more than 3GB. About the stable timing and voltage for more than 3GB, it will be different for different models. If the RAM you use is in our QVL, you can use the timing and voltage we recommended in QVL. If not, please take the motherboard out of case and only keep the necessary components onboard for a test. If it doesn’t work, please reseat the cpu and test again. If it still exists, please erase the cmos to load default settings and try again. If no effort, please adjust the timing and voltage of the memory moduels according to the spec and manual of them. Or you can contact with the manufacturer of your RAM for consultation."" When populating all 4 slots on any motherboard it is not uncommon to need to reduce the speed of the memory due to motherboard chipset limitations. I would try setting the memory frequency to 667MHz and see if you still have any problems.

Thanks, but iv allready tried just about everything...
2v 2.1 1.8 1.0v etc.... i think the boards picky about ram type... i think many 775 boards are. i tried very lose timings 7 10 10 30 105(trfc) tried 5 5 5 18 / 5 5 5 20, 6 6 6 40 nb+ voltage way up i get better res when i put in 2x team ext in slot 0 + 2 , cosair pro in 1+3 allways fails at 9216.. when if you swap ram out, rotate etc..(not sticks...) but any 2 ok,, in any slot. i change a few setting,, got it a little more stable? but stills fails...

Unfortunately for me, the answers on the Corsair forum wasn't leading me anywhere either. I've tried almost every setting known to man.
I still find it odd that even at default speeds with only one set of Memory installed (1 pair), I still need to have speed and voltage set manually for it to be stable. For now I've given up, and I may consider buying an 8gig Pair instead. Luckily I can make use of the other memory elsewhere.
