Have anyone measured how much downloads you have to do? I did 7Gb yesterday (according to the local proxy server), and this morning it was still asking to do another 1.3Gb update.

Hey
So far the game has alot of potential but they are going to need to fix a few things. Skiing feels ok but they really need to get rid of the speed cap. Energy on packs is useless need to last a bit longer Map walls suck, Best part about tribes for me was making up capping runs and with map walls it severely limits your options Oh they need to fix the aus servers redirecting to UK and giving 300 ping ! Fix those things and this game will win me over. Its good to be playing tribes again! Ingame name is ArTeesT if anyone wants to add |

Have had some awesome moments playing this. Some great caps and midair discs. Sucking up all my spare time though LOL.
ArTeesT I have only seen you there once and was chasing you down in the tropical map as you took the flag on a sideways run. Got into a fight with someone else though so had to let you go

I'd love if I got selected for beta... but $30 for a game from HiRez is a bit steep, regardless of the IP.

You don't get selected for beta, if you pay the $30 you're straight in regardless.

There is also a registration for beta, outside the guaranteed slots for pre-orders.

Nov. 10, 2011: Tribes Closed Beta Version 0.1.523
Quote:
Props to the developers for removing the speedcap and fixing a lot of things that I and I"m sure others had asked for. Can't wait to have a play tonight. The update is an 800Mb download. Inventory stations now repair you too.
