Default Static fullscreen wallpaper on android (galaxy s)?

Hey,

My girlfriend has a galaxy s and neither of us can figure out how to make the wallpaper a static, fullescreen image (i.e take a photo and make it the background). - just like you would on an iphone (yes im aware this isnt an iphone - purely an example of what we are after).

Are there any integrated solutions for this? If not, what app solutions are available?

Thanks

launcherpro will do this for you, plus endless scrolling on homescreen.

Longpress on the homescreen, choose Wallpapers, choose Gallery. Not sure if that's what you're after cos it's pretty simple...

He doesn't want the wallpaper to move at all. Like hak said, try Launcherpro.

use Wallpaper Wizardrii if you want to crop to the the size of your screen,

while launcherpro will make the wallpaper not move, you'll have to add black bars left and right in an image editing suite so android won't needlessly crop your wallpaper

Is there a way to extend the wallpaper to go underneath the notification bar?

Use Launcherpro to hide the notification bar by default, then use a shortcut like the home button or a swipe up from a dock shortcut to show the notification bar again.
