Question Removed iPhone whilst syncing, not iTunes will not recognise an iPod.

Hey all,

I have an iTunes library which I used to sync with my iPod, then I got an iPhone and synced(correct term?) it with the library also. Whilst in the process of syncing the iPhone with iTunes I removed the USB cable to early and had to restore the iPhone. Now iTunes will not recognise the original iPod when I plug it in.

Are these issues related or is it a red herring?

Any suggested solutions? Is the Genius Bar the best solution?

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

I would suggest a hard-reset of your iPod. I assume it's a model with a click-wheel? Instructions on how to do this can be found here: http://www.reset-ipod.com/reset-ipod-scroll-wheel.htm

You may be able to fix it without visiting the Genius Bar. Please advise us what happens after you have done a reset of the iPod.
