Exactly.

Happy to see they are focusing on making the iphone more of a phone. I personally think the lock screen can include Widget pages of sorts... For example you could have weather and then two finger swipe to the next page.

For those people who are super keen on getting the beta on their main/only device, please be aware that these betas do expire and the only option after expiration is to restore. You MUST keep updated on the beta releases, unless you want to wake up one morning with a bricked and un-backed-up device.

You should also be aware that iOS beta releases typically are not the best on battery life or stability, and you might not get the same polished experience that you're used to.

I realise all of this.. am going to use it only on my ipad 2.. don't really care if it gets trashed as theres nothing on it that i can live without.. i just love to play around with betas so am quite excited to see what ios5 brings to the table, even if half the features are broken or don't work.. hopefully apple keep the betas flowing..

I can confirm once they are purchased and transferred to the phone they only appear in the ringtone section, NOT the text tone one.

The tone store is available in iOS 5 for both ringtones and text tones. Custom creation is something to be explored but it does clarify that more custom options will be available with the release of iOS 5.

It was on the slides in the background and works a treat on the iPhone on IOS5.

They brought in full week calender, scrolls nice etc. That set, still a few better apps for calender out there, but still they have added week view in IOS5

If I am trolling please delete this post.

I just want to spread the word to iOS users and especially developers so this does not happen to you:

Apple pilfers rips off student's rejected iPhone app
iOS 5 lifts idea, name, even logo

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/06..._rejected_app/

"Fast forward to Monday, when Apple unveiled a set of new features for the upcoming iOS 5, including the same wireless-syncing functionality. Cupertino wasn't even subtle about the appropriation, using the precise name and a near-identical logo to market the technology."

With the considerable resources behind Apple, do you think that anyone would be stupid enough to take them to court for IP infringement. I mean, even if you developed a killer app, and sold it directly on cydia without even submitting it to the appstore, apple will probably just rip it off anyway, regardless of what 'stealing' an idea might be..
