Thanks Boys, very happy with the parts, the HW Labs rads are pretty decent, good quality, however i prefer the matt black finish of the SR1, the Steaths come in a gloss finish, finger print magnet!
Haven't gamed yet but idle temps are exactly the same for GPU's and CPUs. and Creekin, yes, gotta do the sleeving and some stage, just dunno when.

Hi, those nuts on the screws looks hidous, trim the screws down slightly with a set of bolt cutters or a dremel or a angle grinder and then paint them back. Also it might be worth getting some countersunk screws in black so it all sits flush on the panels.

i like the new update as well, not a big fan of the external rad. As for the screws i agree if would look far better with some countersunk M4 screws,
i think TKR has very short counter sunk black M4 screws that would suit that rad, i used the same rad in my build and they fitted perfectly

thanks for the replies guys and the feedback, i like the M4/Nut screw so im gonna leave it for now. However, later on down the track when i upgrade to Socket 2011, ill consider changing the screws over.
So just a minor update (yes again!), i redid the 360mm rad, its now in pull configuration, this allow me to mount the fan through the rad stand and into the rad with just the fan screws as aposed to my previous setup. Looks much neater. Again, apologies for the crap photo's. Great news, i went onto my local computer store's website and discovered they stock the correct side panel for my case! See here SO NEW WINDOW HAS BEEN ORERED! $93 is alot easier then doing it myself! HAppy days!

hmmmmm .. i dont know why .. but now it looks tacky
![]() just imho edit: and yes i am aware i have a lanfail with the same window. i just think the window should be a little sleeker if youre going to fork out coin for that kind of case and pay a premium for a windowed panel. Last edited by Spyfox; 18th July 2011 at 9:18 PM. |

maybe you can unscrew the perspex and put it on the inside. then you'll have little nubs sticking out around the border.
just cant win. lol. |

god damn you spyfox, first you say external rad looks bad, now you say my side panel is tacky.
What must i do to win your heart. LOL ![]() It looks better in real life, and I like the extruded arcylic, it has a proper bezeled edge and is nicely fixed on. Oh well, if i get sick of it, ill just chuck on the old sidepanel. Question? what do you guys clean your arcylic window with, and is there anything to make it anti staticky, so god damn dust doesnt stick to it. GRRR!
