Default Linux Training

I installed Linux a few days ago and from what i have seen, i'm going to like it.

However, being born and bread to windows, i know almost nothing about Linux exept that it's free and you can do almost anything with it. So i'm after some training.

Does anyone know where i could get some decent training that's not going to cost the earth? I wanna learn from the ground up.

Thanks.

Talking Training

I found the PDF doco's from REDHAT was great.

-Installation guide
-Customisation guide
-Reference guide

These "books" are about 150-300pages each "book"!!!!

You still need more though.

Try www.everythinglinux.com.au for books - Spend the $50 - it's worth more that a $400 operating system.

Forum sites are good too.

If you're after 'Real' training, most tafe's and it colleges have linux courses. Wouldn't cost you too much.

I was really looking for some face to face training. Gives me another excuse to get out if nothing else.

I think i'm just lost as to where to start. Do i start with the file system, the shell, where?

If someone can point me in the direction of a decent doc that starts from the very begining i would also be grateful. I want to learn it all, but i want to do it properly.

Edit: I'm using Mandrake, so i'm not sure the RedHat doc would help me much. I'll check out those sites though.

have a look at some MCSE and CCNA training centers and see if you can do a RHCP (Redhat Cert Pro) if thats more what you wont

I am a IT consultant, and up until recently one of the things I did was training for my clients on how to use linux and FreeBSD. I have 5 years experience as a Unix Systems Admin, and have ran Linux and FreeBSD at home for close to 8 years.

Whereabouts are you located Stillsouth. I might be convinced to start again.

If your close and your prices are right, i may be convinced to pay for your services
Especially if your confident your can get me to a stage to pass something like the RHCP.
