Default [fixed] LG optimus 2x wont turn on

I just plugged my 2x into the tv via the HMDI cable, went to reboot the phone since an app wouldn't close and the phone just turned off and won't come back on. its running cm7. anyone have any ideas?? Could the hdmi cable be dodgy and done something? I'm lost.

edit: Ok now I'm really lost. I was just sitting here googling and the phone just came on without me touching it. That's about 20mins of time between it turning off and me removing the battery a few times.

Now the battery reads 21%. It was 96% before it turned off. Could the battery just be faulty? Maybe the stock lg charger killed it? I read a couple of people complaining about the lg wall chargers hurting the batteries.

edit2: plugged into usb. battery just dropped to 1% and the phone is super hot. turning it off.

edit3: flashed newer baseband, now it seems all good. yay
