And the keyboard retails for $169.00AUD at PCCG. Some clown here was trying to ridicule a Filco because it used plain ABS keycaps, yet the Filco retails for $139.00AUD. Also the key-caps are still usable compared to worn out painted caps that can lose all legibility.

You'll have some comparing Filco's to some unattainable, expensive luxury product. It's just a basic keyboard that was designed for typists, not gamers.
Ducky keycaps last years, not a week before they start to shine. I've had mine for 8 months and they are still like new if kept clean.

You of all people should know the Filco keycaps start to shine after a week, you claim to own a few after all! Or are you going to use the keycap replacement excuse as a weak defense again haha.
But seriously, Filcos are notorious for soft shiny keycaps, hence why replacing them is such a fad because most people seem to prefer the feel of them.

Who said Filcos are made for typists vs gamers? Never knew you worked for their product development team

I agree to a point, competition is always better. But then you get elitists and their fail logic claiming how great their Filcos are on forums which is a bit obnoxious xD

Also did you get your Ducky TKL yet? Waiting for Shine II to hit Aus.

On another note, do many of you use landing pads?

...discussing?
It's just not quite right when people make false claims in the name of elitism. It's rather pathetic I agree. Even on this thread ;P

My filco was better than any other MX Keyboard I ever used.
Never ordered a Ducky TKL.

I used landing pads on my MX boards, I actually have a few brand new sets here, want to buy?

Looking at getting rid of my Blackwidow Ultimate and moving to a real keyboard, as I've decided I don't need back lighting.

Have little experience with Mechanical Keyboards other than owning the Blackwidow Ultimate for a couple of years, so I'm used to the MX Cherry Blue's. I've got large fingers and I tend to bottom out the keys on the blues, so considering the move to Black. Anyone a bit more experienced care to shed some light?

Looking at picking up a Filco Majestouch or a Steelseries 6G V2 (if I go for blacks), although if people think staying safe with the Blue's is on, I do like the look of the Das keyboards.

Also looking at picking up a few replacement keys, probably just some coloured WADS keys. PCCG doesn't seem to have a huge range from where I've looked, any recommendations? Have tried to search the thread but come up empty.

Appreciate any guidance

i went with a filco majestouch 2 cherry red keyboard and i think it's great: nice smooth travel, and a noticeable clicky sound to annoy those in the vicinity! LOL

blue is good only if you can touch type.

das keyboard only has boards with blue or brown but filco has keyboards with either blue, red, black, or brown keys.

Aus PC Market sell some random novelty caps and stuff like that. Can't quite remember what their range is like as I haven't looked at them in a while, but you should be able to find some there.

Thanks, they've got what I want - red wads keys. $20 for 4 keys though? Ouch

Blue is bad for being able to actually distinguish characters against black keys. Red/yellow/green/white are all better at it, white being the best obviously.

For $140+ I'd have thought they'd be rbg by now... but there you go.

Any Das keyboard Model S Professional owners able to comment on the quality of the printing (edit: laser etched, nm <3), how the keys wear, general build quality etc. Reviews are hard to gauge because they're written in a restricted period, but they all seem very promising - probably enough for me to stick with the blues.

Pretty confident he's talking about the switches, not the back-lighting.
