Storm Chasing / Canada / Alaska Anyone?

Hey guys just seeing if there is any interest on here for heading to the US next year on a Tornado chasing tour for 10 days

I'm waiting on info for next years schedule but i plan to sign on with TVN for a 10 day tour. Probably the best opportunity anyone would ever have for extreme weather shots and footage.

Anyway i thought i would ask to see if there is anyone on OCAU who is man enough to join me

Costs would be around $3500 plus meals, flights...

ill let you know once i have more info. The schedule isn't up for 2012 yet so i've sent an email asking when it will be available. You have to get in early though if you want to get a spot in the best period

it is quite a cost but hey its not something you get to do often

Interested wanted to do this for years!!! I have been researching this for a couple years, the best statistical times are last week of april to middle may for a chase of seeing a tornado.

Hey guys just thought i would update, i will be doing this in the 2013 season, just waiting on a reply from them for the best time, it will be a 10 day tour. I will also be going on to do the ZeroG flight and other things after it if anyone wants to tag along

they are selling fast so anyone whos interested let me know asap

$500 deposit is due on registration, rest is due 1 month prior to tour, so plenty of time to pay it off

Just out of curiosity how much is the ZeroG flight?

You mentioned the 2013 season, have they given you specific dates? Definitely interested although I don't have the moolah at the point in time.

Just working out the date now, there is a choice between silver line tours or extreme tornado tours who are the ones featured on storm chasers.

With the extreme tornado tours one May 13 - May 22 or June 4 - June 13 seem to be the picks at the moment

The ZeroG flight is very expensive at $4950 USD, its something ive been planning for a while now to do as a once in a lifetime thing

you get to keep a flight suit / footage / photos etc while your on it, images like this are enough to get me to do it

Really interested but at this point in time I can't commit to anything as I'll be starting a new job next year.

What you've got planned sounds epic and I hope you have the time of your life! Hopefully I'll be able to join you, although at this point doesn't seem likely. Will definitely keep in touch though! Cheers bro.
