Default Problem with Hands Free

Hi All,

So my Incredible S is working fantastically, apart from an annoying issue whereby the default hands free kit seems to slip out from the little hole on the top of the phone when I'm walking somewhere (such as listening to music when walking to work).

I hear a little crackle when it happens, and have found that holding the phone stationary when walking helps to resolve the issue, so I have a feeling that it may be a problem with the physical connection itself. Although the handset itself is pretty dodgy.

Is anyone else having a similar issue? A colleague was having a similar problem with his Desire HD, but it somehow fixed itself one day so unfortunately he's not much help.

Anyone had this issue before, or am I a freak of nature?

I suspect it's something to do with the wiring, but want some confirmation.

Sounds like it. Got warranty?

is this is the 3.5mm socket? Could be that the part that notches into the depression of the plug isn't working properly.

Yeah I've got warranty and insurance so getting it replaced wouldn't be a problem- I just don't think it would be worth it, and seems a lot of trouble for a minor issue.

Rezin, it is the jack at the top of the phone. I have another theory that some lint may have fallen into the hole, which may be affecting it.

Maybe a tiny bit of blu-tac on the end of a pin could get that out.
