Default Project WorkLog: New Whisper Quiet Rig w\Surround 3D & Water Cooled

Hey Guys, so as my signature says, i have retired my old rig, which served really well.. but im embarking on a new project. Majority of the parts already on order. Here are the specs i am aiming for

Hardware
i7 980X (Apogee XT water block)
2x Ati 6990 (XSPC Full Cover Waterblock)
Gbit G1 Sniper Mobo
Corsair Dominators 3x 2Gig
Corsair Obsidian 800D
Corsair AX850 PSU Corsair AX1200
Crucial 128GB SSD
Couple other 2TB HDD

Cooling
Swifteck MCP 655
RX120.3 Rad with Noctua P12's pushing
& Nexus Blue LED fans pulling all on fan controllers
UV Blue XSPC tubs
Frozen Q T-virus Res XPSC Dual Bay Res With MCP655
Assorted Bitspower Compression Bits.

Displays
3x Samsung S23A750 monitors
1x 19'' BenQ LED panel

Any recommendations Welcome. Most part should arrive during the week, building should start this weekend hopefully

get the AX 1200 mate as you may want to go tri-fire in the future with 3 monitors ;-)

I did the same thing and its well worth the journey!

Ya the PSU is my concern right now.. but i think the 850 will hold up for now... if i do decide to beef up graphics in the future, ill have to consider it.

Rad and some water bits got delivered home just then lucky some1 was home to sign for it.. Will leave work early to get mobo and case this arvo.

Put in order for the monitors..

Need to grab some white vinegar to clean out my water bits..

Building will start shortly.. Will put up pics of some beautiful boxes

GPU just came to my office!! Its pretty damn heavy, but looks really (for lack of a better word) "Sick!" So pretty much have everything if i make it in time to pick up the case and mobo

Boo, didnt make it to pick up my case and mobo.. this work thing keeps getting in the way of getting stuff done.. any way here is a pic of some of the stuff i got 2day.. not as exciting... sadly probably wont be able to make it to mobo and case till Friday...



ok so i have pulled apart my water block for the CPU, and there seems to be a lot of crap in there!!! do i just use some vinegar and a tooth brush???

eww... it there any way to prevent that build up in your cpu block ?
