its to fast track the bleeding process of a newly filled loop. As most peeps will tell you, these pump & reservior combo's tend to have the intake/outake of water very close to each other not allowing the bubbles to escape to the top of the res. The Spoon end just blocks the air bubbles from going straight back into the loop.

haha, yes didn't spend a cent, and i saved heaps by not using electrical tape. Plus when im done i can still use the laptop cooler as a pedestal fan or something like that

Maybe way off topic, so please don't shoot me. But I had the old overheating RROD on my xbox 360. This mod albeit voiding my perfectly good warranty did allow me to keep playing GTA4 for 3 days without an RROD (who wants to deal with MS RMA anyway!??!)
