Optus@Home coming to Goulburn Valley

This is what I have heard. A friend of mine saw a "box" with the words "Optus Fibre Optic Cable" beside the Hume of GV Highway, i forget which. Either way, it was only put down a couple of weeks ago, so O@H might become available to those people living in Shepparton and surrounding areas (like me

hahahaha it's probably just a maintenance box or something for the optic cable that runs from Melbourne to Sydney. I seriously doubt Optus cable would be installed "Shepparton" before other major cites, if Optus did actually decided to make it avaliable elsewhere, which they said they never would.

ncable will be running there own optic fibre to melbourne sunshine in fact their ISP is going to be Optus and thier internet link will be larger than 55 meg (again i was told)

but ther must be an optus exchange or something in sunshine..any of you melbourne ppl know whether this could be remotly true?
but i may well be being that they said they would be using optus@home AUP?

He must of thought O@H was coming to Shepparton, when really O@H are supplying ncable with the infustructure.

Correct me If I am wrong.
From what I hear, O@H are not expanding their cable infrastructure any more as they are not making any money.
I have heard that off several people.

Also, Neighbourhood cable..
Apparently they were going to/or already have cabled Bendigo.
Still havent heard anything about that. Who's seen their web page? Hopefully they are spending more money on their cable rollout than their web design coz bluntly, it blows.

Should be interesting to see what sort of service they can offer though.

But Optus@Home will be the Ncable provider. They will supply the internet backbone from Melbourne to the counrty.
