my mate had this problem as well and I have solved this for him painlessly, but do confirm that you have exhausted all said solutions, there will be a final solution for you if it does not work (no hacks involved)

I got it, the step i didn't do was specify the network type.

downloading the music manager now

ok no probs, you don't need any VPN or proxy BS anymore once you've got the account, just log in as normal from PC or Android device.
