For those using this - what is the "realistic" battery life for video? EG - flying international...

Engadget said they got 12.5hr out of theirs - I could believe that, too. But that's purely anecdotal.

NikonUser: I'll have a look and see what a custom firmware will get me.

So I picked one of these up from JBHIFI today for $380. All I had to do was buy a Macbook Air at the same time.

Anyway, I'm quite impressed with the unit. The screen really is amazing.

I'm getting a reliable 10-11 hr of quite heavy usage out of my 3g version, with half of that on my home wifi network.
I have a spare blue gel cover available from my ebay order if anyone is interested in trading with a few beers!

My macbook pro isn't recognising it as external storage even though I have dev mode on. my SGS2 gets recognised fine. Anyone else having this problem, making it a pita to transfer music.

Hehe I got it as a present and was like what am I gonna do with this but it's proved to be very useful!

S2 just appears as an external drive on my mac, I'll have a look for this "android file transfer" and try it on the tab. Thanks for the help

Where can I purchase them?

My mother has recently got one of these mighty devices, and wants to get some sort of case to protect it. She wishes to touch the case and look at it before buying, so preferably a bricks and mortar store in Melbourne.
I second this but not the last part. I need something to protect from the inevitable cat will attempt to sit on this in a very neat manner sitting it's entire body on just the tablet scenario.

for anyone thats interested, i found the 3g 16gig available in Sydney at a shop near central station. Cost is $640, but they charge $651 if paying by credit card. They dont have any stock in their shop, but have them in their warehouse.. so should have it tommorow or monday.

Very nice. I couldn't manage to find one under $540 when I went looking for my mother. At least not in physical, BnM stores.
