Certainly a game to just sit back and wait on. Has the potential but we will see.

Anyone got into this yet? Just wondering with all the updates and stuff if this is shaping up to be any good?

does that mean it's bad and needs fixing, or great but has a small development team?

s2 only ever tried with fanatec, felt awful! but in saying that, cars has been constantly improving the ffb and the feel of the wheel, even so that the fanatec wheels are now decent to play with

It sucked hard with G27 as well.....so this is why I'm dubious of the final product, though if the builds are heading towards sim status, that's a good sign.
We also face the prospect of GTR3, Assetto Corsa, Ayrton Senna sim and rfactor2 being viable sims this yr. |

I'm a manager level member and I enjoy it. People harping on about its faults need to realise it is in early stages and constantly developing. For me the big selling point is the selection of classic F1 cars. I used to love playing GP Legends and now I can enjoy some other F1 besides todays modern variants. It has plans to grow and add more tracks and some other good drives.
Time will tell how good it ends up but for me it is worth it so far. Handling wise the physics seem pretty decent and work well with the G27.

I'm a member, paid enough so I can get a free copy and have unlimited beta access.
Started from Build 15* and now on 179. I love the constant game updates (no joke). Issue is that its not a 'patch', its a whole new game you need to download and re-config all over again. The graphics are amazing BUT this game does not recognize more then 1 GPU so I'm limited. Having the cockpit view chops average of 10FPS but in any other view I gain 10FPS. You have to constantly fiddle with controls with each individual vehicle and you can also have some serious input lag. Overall the game has potential, but it hasn't got much right now. I think its far deep into its Beta stage

I think they've rejected modding so they can sell DLC.
SMS, also have any number of people in their employ at Nogrip forums, in fact, the idiot moderator "Redi" is on their payroll and was one of Shift2's biggest boosters, yet Shift2 is my "biggest disappointment in gaming".....a title previously held by Far Cry2. |

Doesn't work well with my G27, it has dodgy turn in, inconsistent FFB, and just doesn't feel anywhere as connected to the road like the established sims, plus it's a virtual mash fest on the brakes.

On c.a.r.s mine actually works fine with a g27, turn in is accurate but the FFB is pretty bad at the moment and some of the physics feel odd. They only just started rebuilding the ffb engine so it will be quite a few builds before you see any huge changes (alot of ffb effects are missing, like hitting a chicane). Remember that C.a.r.s is in pre alpha and there is still alot of work to be done. |

I jumped on this a few weeks ago and instantly upgraded to team member to get weekly updates. For those who think this is another shift your dead wrong, one of the biggest problems with shift 2 was the physics and sliding cars and thankfully that is not present here. Im on build 261 atm and i love it, am definitly going to upgrade again and being a oart of the development process is exciting.
