From what ive read the wifi issues seem to be limited to some units, others are fine. Just sold my TFT101 so ill be picking up a prime soon if I can find one in grey

My wifi has been fine, infact the whole things been fantastic so far, im very happy.

I found ICS to be much more buggy then HC was on it, but I think it was still worth the upgrade to it. I have noticed a number of graphical glitches, but you really have to pay attention to notice them at all. initially I had the youtube corruption problem too but removing flash and installing it again fixes that up quickly enough

Looking forward to more updates which should make the small ICS niggles unnoticeable, this tablet makes my Iconia seem really heavy and slow.

I do wish the keyboard dock didnt dent the tablet frame like it does, but this is also a very minor complaint, you have to really look closely to notice it, and I really dont care as long as it all works properly which it has been doing so far

Honestly I am really really impressed with mine so far, it really makes IOS look really dated in comparison to ICS the UI is silky smooth!

My only complaint is that USB is only on the dock and not in the tablet itself (probably because the tablet is to slim and you can get a adapter if you need)

Edit: Forgot to mention how impressed ICS works with a keyboard and mouse, I really would wonder why anyone would want a netbook running win 7 basic over the Transformer Prime!

Transformer prime probably doesn't run Lightroom...

It does all i need it to do and more.

It renders my Satellite L455-S5975 notebook and my Iconia A500 unnecessary, infact I'll probably give them to relatives thanks to the prime.

Don't think a net book would run light room all that well either :-)

While android is not going to be able to run all the windows applications, it will run 99% of it (or similar app) that a net book user would actually use

Actually... they do! Fairly slowly, mind you, but all good if one has plenty of time, and a beer or two...

If not for processing my pics, a tablet would replace my netbook for travel...

Just chiming in quickly to say the Prime is a great little emulator once you add a controller. I was stuffing around with my little fold-out Msi BGP-100 gamepad from Dealextreme, which is neat, but I ended up buying the Sixaxis app on the market, and it's so much better. I just paired an old non-rumble controller with it over bluetooth and it's been a total blast playing n64 and SNES titles wirelessly with proper button configuration through N64oid and SNES9x. With Shadowgun, graphics are even reasonably competitive with today's console games.

Haven't tried MAME or PSX yet, but that should be equally good.

Any thoughts on the best word processing suite or app? I need to start using this for business soon, but haven't decided whether I need anything better than Polaris..

Yeah it's worth it to root and buy the wireless sixaxis I reckon. I've tried mame and it works really well as long as you use the 0.37b5 roms. Played a bit of Street Fighter 2, Final Fight and Streets of Rage.

Went to pickup up a prime today and apparently all my local JB's are sold out and have no idea when new stock is coming.

can't root the latest ota yet (which i'm on) and there's no known way to downgrade. As soon as they work out how to root this one i'm planning on doing it & getting sixaxis. Would be good to not have to worry about having the controller connected via usb all the time

edit: confirmed working root just went up this morning on xda! Will try when i get home

and a one-click way

edit2: one click vipermod way worked first go

Hows everybodys going?

My prime has been wonderful.
I've filled it with emulators and music, im now considering getting a few ps3 controllers, the sixaxis app and a micro HDMI cable so I have a great portable gaming setup on the go.

Thumbs up

Currently waiting for my 1st semester uni scholarship payment so I can grab one at the local JB.

Receipts for 64GB model PLUS DOCK, collected from Whirlpool:

Should be able to haggle the price down a bit with those.
