Hi Guys,
Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm having a few issues with an oldish PC using RAID 5 on board and an OCZ SSD for the boot drive. Problem is that the INTEL raid controller doesn't see the drive straight away on boot up as the BIOS ROM is out of date. Give the system 30 seconds; do a Ctrl + Alt + Del and the raid controller finds it. This seems to be a common issues but I can see an update on the DELL website for this PC for the system bios as I’ve read the Intel RAID rom controller is normally included in the manufactures bios updates. My System is: Dell T3400 OCZ Vertex 2 100GB SSD boot 3 x 300GB WD Raptors 10K (Raid 5) Intel ICH9 Controller using ROM 7.6.1.1001 Can anyone help by pointing me onto and BIOS modders out there as there was a li9nk to another posting similar to this on the OCZ website - similar issue but I can't get hold of the guy that did the work. Any help would be great as both DELL and intel support won’t have anything to do with it and finding any tools to do the update or a ROM file is a little impossible on either of the sites. http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...-10R-RAID-ROMs Cheers |
