hi everyone Ive currently got my 2500k at 4.4GHz with 1.320V running through it. Thing is though Im wondering if I need a higher over clock to see a bigger performance in game fps.
Just wondering as I planned to get a XSPC Rasa 750 RS360 kit to replace my Corsair H50 in push pull which lets the system sit on a max on 59 while playing the witcher 2 for over an hour or so (havnt tried prime yet). So is the highier overclock worth the extra money for cooling or is this a high enough clock for gaming or should I just get a NH D14?

Your fine where you are.
I have a rasa RX240 kit and at 4.5GHZ on 1.225V (Load no llc) I get ~50C IBT load Problem is my (and from research most) I5-2500k CPUs hit a big fat brick wall at ~4.7GHZ and then you start really upping the volts doesn't really matter what cooling you have you probably don't have a hell of a lot more to play with. eg my CPU is happy at 4.5GHZ on ~1.225V but for 5GHZ I need almost 1.5V (this is obviously unsafe for 24/7 operation)

hmm might just wait it out then and if I see some cheap wc gear shows up. The RS360 is around $150+ shipping etc but I like the fact that it would be a lot quieter than the H50 which I only got because it was the best thing I could fit in my old school noob tube antec 900.
Thanks man

So y do you need more cooling? 59 is fine. OC until you reach like 70 on prime or ibt then think about changing the cooling. No point changing the cooling if you cant oc the chip that far. Turn the aircon on and find how far your chip will go then get more cooling if it goes over 70.
Going water is not going to help your temps much and it requires 3 fans for the radiator and a pump so its not going to be much quieter. Just letting you know from experience so hope it helps

+1 to sticking with the H50. If your only hitting 59c playing games then you'll most likely get around 62c on IBT or Prime95 so yeah
4.4GHz is great. Anything over is more for benching so no point IMOI have a H50 as well and I get 45-48c while playing GTA IV and 52 under Prime95 so i'm not too worried
