So guys I'm still waiting on my new case, so in the meantime I thought I would throw something together so I could continue using my PC. (Sorry about the terrible photos, I was using my phone and some of them were done late at night.)
I've got the following parts stuffed into an old HP case (without the outer shell cause I don't know where it's gone.) Intel 2600k Gigabyte Z68A-UD7-B3 Gigabyte GTX570 (x2) 8 GB Corsair Vengeance C8 150 GB VelociRaptor RAID 0 CoolerMaster SilentPro 1000W ![]() Now that actually worked quite well, and I was surprised at how quiet it was, but I had all this water cooling stuff lying around doing nothing. So I thought I could do something there too First a case to house it in (not the actually case used )![]() Take a few rivets out and you have this ![]() Next do some cutting, I use a Jigsaw and an Ozito Rotary (with Dremel EZ lock blades) ![]() ![]() Not the best work i've seen, but this is really temporary so I wasn't too concerned (plus I actually learn alot )Throw in some water cooling gear D5 pump Modded XSPC res 2 x XSPC RX 360 rads 3 x NB PL-2 fans 3 x Nexus Real Silent PWM fans (2000 rpm) ![]() And this gives you an idea of what I'm trying to achieve includes a XSPC Rasa CPU block, and 2 x AquagraFX 580 GPU blocks. ![]() I have to say that there were a few issues with connecting it up, and I'm still bleeding it, but it works No testing, benching or even booting the PC yet, decided sleep was a better option .
