I tried it the other day. Its 30 day trial before buy. I couldnt get it to display cpu temps unless the user has admin rights (confirmed by forum post) and when i tried GPU temps it showed up as trial so appears not to have full functionality.

My G19 arrives tomorrow to replace a G15 and I'm really looking forward to using it with AIDA64.

Yes you have to pay for AIDA64 but it is definitely one of the most useful bits of software I own. I've got four screens set up that will display temps, clock speeds, voltages and usage of nearly everything in my system.

Alas no FPS. I said NEARLY everything

Only used FRAPS a few times but it has a plug in for the G15. Not too sure about the G19.

FRAPS works fine on my G19 LCD.

It's kind of sad how little attention these things get, though. There's bugger all applets around for it. All I've really wanted is something that combines the default media app with a clock so I can see the time at a glance while music is playing. The only apps I've seen that can do this are huge bloated crap that do a million other things but display what I want how I want it.

I think it gets little attention because at the end of the day, a tiny LCD monitor on a keyboard is useless to most people. Some people - like those in this thread - find it to be somewhat useful for certain things but this attitude is definitely in the minority. I get the sense that most people have a play with the settings just after purchase but after a while realise that having a tiny monitor directly underneath a big monitor makes the tiny monitor completely redundant. At this point they’ll leave it alone for the rest of its life!

I went through a similar thing with my G15. I thought it looked awesome and expected the little display would be able to show all sorts of cool stuff. After a few days however, I was sick of the screen flicking between applets so I locked it onto the clock. I have barely touched the settings in two years.

Just got a G19 and FRAPS (3.4.6 & 3.4.7) is not playing nicely for me. Whenever it is running, it keeps trying to display itself on the LCD, even when I've selected something else (like the clock). Did you ever have anything like that?

Anyone else had problems with their G19 screen continually going blank depending on where it is tilted?

I've had to open mine up a couple of times and reseat the cables to the screen, but it just keeps happening.

Nope. I can toggle between any apps just fine with the cog button. I am using the older drivers though as the new ones screwed shit up pretty badly. Media, clock, fraps and ventrilo are the standard ones I toggle between, never have any issues. I just wish I could have a clock on my media display.

I take it you guys don't have an issue in needing to use an account with admin rights to access your aida displays etc?

I always leave admin rights on another user and constantly web surf and play games on my restricted account. I'm not sure about using admin accounts........

Yes you do need admin rights but I just use my pleb account and right click on "run as administrator" for AIDA.
