Yeah Revhead i have actually lol And its easy when im getting a Pro Solderer and circuit builder to do it for me.. Hahahaha But yeah they are tiny as. Pretty simple process though.

This isn't the right thread but I thought i'd post here anyway (it's a quick question)

I have 2 GTX460's. Can I use the voltage control on MSI Afterburner, or do the 460's not support voltage control?

As far as i know, you need to unlock it (flash bios) on the card and then you can.. Unless someone else has a better idea.

Friends,

The Galaxy GTX670 GC seems to be a bargain for $450, however its not the custom dual fan config.

I initially wanted to get an eVGA FTW but it is also single fan like the Galaxy GC.

Should I steer clear and go with the Asus or something or will I be alright?

The reference cooler has a hard time keeping under 70Deg at which point you lose 13mhz of clock speed and voltage drops a little its a kepler feature. Its also noisy to. Goes against the 680 ref cooler which works well and is quiteish.

if you go back a few pages you will find a ref cooler showing why it struggles.

I Have a gigabyte 670 OC which is excellent value for money.
I highly recommend steering clear of the Ref cooler as the ASUS & Gigabyte custom coolers are light years ahead.
Quite and efficient at cooling also my card sits on 60deg in BF3 and fans run at 40% which is quieter than the fans in my case running at 40%.

my gigabyte GTX 670 OC'd to a max observed clock of 1231MHz idles at about 40-41 degrees C and stays well under 60 degrees C when under full load (the closest I got was 58 degrees C thanks to GR:FS) in most of the games I have tried.

Hi,

Nobody seems to have had ASUS cards for months. Are these worth waiting for or is the Gigabyte card also a good choice?

most people say that for a 670 that a non-reference cooler is more preferable than the reference cooler such as the windforce from gigabyte.

But if it's a 680 you're looking at then the reference cooler is better.

I've been tossing up the Zotac for a few days but the delivery time is worrying, does it really take that long?

I purchased by Sapphire HD 7970s from Amazon Exports. Took about two weeks to get here. Their delivery timeframe estimates are generally conservative.

Does anyone customize their fan curve for their cards?

used to on my old 280's but no point with new 670 cause it never gets near 70deg. I did trial a aggressive curve to keep temps at 50deg but the added noise wasn't worth it. The built in fan curve on the GB 670's is quite good.
