7970 is looking very good in these early days, lets hope Kepler has the grunt to take it back to the lead again.

I want single gpu 120Hz gaming ..... for BF3 .....I wish UT4 would hurry up ....

Single GPU 120hz gaming would be my ideal scenario too, but I also want full eyecandy and at least some form of transparency AA, I'd even be happy using the SMAA tool though.

According to our sources, what NVIDIA does not want to do is a paper launch of the product, thus the launch of their first high-end Kepler part will only occur once there are enough units for the first wave of consumers.

The company originally scheduled GeForce Kepler for the launch in the first quarter (i.e. fiscal fourth quarter 2012), Quadro Kepler was scheduled for the second quarter (i.e. fiscal first quarter 2013) and Tesla Kepler was scheduled for the third quarter (second fiscal quarter 2013).

However, the new plan calls for launching the GeForce Kepler when the company is able to insure hard availability and have all of its partners covered.

Will it be in the dying weeks or March or steal Ivy Bridge’s thunder with the launch around April 8... only time will tell.

Another bit of similar info..

Kepler to come out in early Q2 2012

Quote:
CES was abuzz with talk that Nvidia’s next generation GPU architecture, both desktop and notebook variants, is coming in early Q2 2012.

The timeframe that we heard more than once is April, which is the month of the launch of Ivy Bridge, Core I 3000 generation of desktop and mobile processors. Nvidia is late to the party, but with some overclocking, the old Geforce GTX 580 still stands up well against the Radeon HD 7970, and the rumor in graphics circle is that Kepler will end up significantly faster than the Radeon HD 7970.

Some independent sources do confirm that it’s likely that Kepler can win this round, but for now, the Radeon HD 7970 is the king of the single GPU market, at least until April. If this is proves to be the case, we would not be surprised by a staggering price tag. It is also worth mentioning that AMD should have its dual-GPU New Zealand card ready at about the same time, making this high-end showdown even more interesting.

The April launch refers to the high end card launch and probably a few other more, not a low-end card as some leaked roadmaps suggested.

Not the 680, more like a souped up 580.

You guys have AMD to blame for this. Releasing shit after shit in both CPUs and GPUs the competition dosent have to try too hard.
