Sammy for gaming, make sure to get the "S" model though and be aware you will have very limited 3D support.

Or you could get a better 23-24" display now, and sell it later and upgrade to the ASUS VG278H, which is my plan of attack.. I currently have the 23" ASUS but will sell it down the track and upgrade to said display.

Its annoying hey, you can't have the LCD that does it all just yet.

We want 3D/IPS/High res/120HZ/27"/EVERY CONNECTION KNOWN TO MANKIND!

Yeh the best I can come up with is to have a U2711 & VG278H side by side, I think that will be my set up until there are 1440p 120hz displays.
I'm not so concerned about IPS as high end gaming TN panels look pretty damn good to me, but I would like to have 1440 at 27".
