Im looking to have someone who knows how to use a CAD program design and print me some 3d sunglasses..

My best friend is blind and i have been working on some 'smart' glasses which utilise ultrasonic sensors and haptic feedback.

The prototype is working great but is very ugly, hoping someone can help with making something a bit nicer.

Imgur link Attached is what i have been working with on my laser cutter and acrylic + description of my thoughts.

Would anyone be able to print off a few small Reprap parts for me? Will pay. I'm in Oakleigh VIC. I'll provide the STL files.

if you dont find anyone I will work for free on this project. CAD work and 3d printing- Please contact me with sketches of what you need- however not programming that stuff gives me headaches.

all lithium batteries will short out eventually, it's the nature of the beast... Only hope is that they become useless and replaced before they short circuit internally and catch fire.

Just wanting to see if anyone is interested in printing 100 smallish simple parts.
Dimensions are 100x20x5 so could print more than one at a time. Needs to be white, finish doesn't matter much it's going up high to support LED lights. Does need to be reasonably robust, don't want things falling on people's heads.
I was going to fabricate these out of aluminium bar but that'd get real tedious real quick as there's 4 holes in each one.

I could run them on my 3040 mill from some sort of plastic sheet strips if that was simpler/quicker...I could also print in white ABS, 100 of could take a while tho so depends when you need them and how complex they are :D

pm me some details if you like

Not really. Already made a prototype from aluminium bar.
Downloaded Fusion 360 last night. Just need to get back up to speed on CAD, it's been decades since I used AutoCAD.

Have you decided what material you want it to be? I'll do it for $2 ea.

    Colour white or light grey.
Not certain about material. Max temp in location would be 50[SUP]o[/SUP]C. Close to the ocean so expect some exposure to salt during big storms. No one will be closer than 3M to the item so finish isn't very important. It will have two holes to take 4mm countersunk screws but no great load. Just don't want anything brittle that could easily snap. Maybe ABS would be better?
