Agreed, go to the extra effort and actually try and sell your old phone.

at least these sites are actually paying you for the phone.... you get those other sites which basically take the phone off you for free in the interest of making the world a nicer place, apparantly.

I just submitted a sell order with mazuma mobile. $108.80 for my broken 16gb iPhone 3G, I'm pretty happy with that!

Considered trying to fix it yourself? if its a cracked screen or LCD problem then parts are fairly cheap through dealextreme.com or other similar sites. need to be a bit handy though I guess.

Wow.. I just realised I have heaps of broken / dodgy Blackberry 9000s, Nokia E51s and 6120s here at work... I think I just found a use for them.

Stick on OCAU for sale first, someone might want to get a cheap repairable phone.

Ive had to replace the glass and battery over the last two years, seems like its a issue with the logic board at the moment. $110 for no work just seems worth my while.

Please select this option if the mobile phone is fully functional and is in the following condition:

    •Can power On/Off
    •Can make and receive calls
•Has a 100% good LCD with no blemishes
    •Is fully functional
    •Is not liquid damaged
•Normal wear and some mild cosmetic damage such as scratching, and small cracks to fascias and surrounds is acceptable

Hrmz...have a N73 they offering to buy for $74, but my camera doesnt work, but everything else does...does that count?

EDIT: Also, heh. Nokia 8800 - they'll offer you $32, eBay will offer ~ $600

I've used sites like that before with no problem. You don't get that much $ for the phones though. It's more for doing a good deed really
