Hey guys... So I have jailbroken my iTouch 4g. I was installing something in Cydia but my iPod stopped responding so I had to reset it. Now it won't get past the loading splash screen

I'm on 5.0.1 tethered with an untether package on cydia. I have managed to get into recovery mode once but it was just a fluke.

How can I fix this? Will I have to restore it in iTunes because it isn't being detected.

    Thanks... Ninja!

    You can try tiny umbrella

It has a enter and exit recovery option. Saved me a few times. Give it a go.

Ok so it appears that TinyUmbrella has worked, I can access recovery mode now. When I try to restore it I keep getting errors, so far I got Unknown error 11 for which I restarted my computer but now I'm getting Unknown error 21. Now, I have followed the instructions the best I can but I can't access port forwarding. I have allowed both ports 80 and 443 inbound and outbound on both TCP and UDP Protocols in Windows Firewall.

Sounds like you need to go deeper than recovery mode then. Access DFU mode with the assitance of the newest redsnow. In extras there is the option of pwned dfu mode. select that and it will guide you through it.

once in that mode open itunes and do a restore. Should be sweet hopefully.
