    Gday,

Massdrop can be hit and hit with deals. But this one is hard to beat.

    https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx/talk

The HD6XX are HD650's but massdrop branded. Price goes from $500US retail, to $200US. I checked online on shopbot and ebay. A pair of Hd650's is going to get you back over $500AUD street.

I personally have no experience with these cans. But any headphones that retail for $500US and can be had for well under half that is a bargain.

    Shipping is $15US.

    $199 + 15USD = $270.17AUD (roughly, give take of course)

Be warned. Its Massdrop and it can take months for your purchase to arrive... and from what I have read these will be no different. So dont expect a timely arrival of them at your door.

Wouldn't mind giving these a crack but I'm afraid they won't be much of an upgrade from my K7XX.

Good luck with your purchase arriving in 2017. More likely to get ahold of them in January 2018

650's sound amazing I'm very happy. I ended up getting a set from Addicted to Audio. I probably paid 150 more but was a very smooth process and had them within 2 days.

Just for clarity, the HD6xx appear to differ from the HD650 on the following points :

    - Cord Length (6xx is shorter, which is good because 600 cable is way too long)
    - 3.5mm jack on 6xx, vs. 6.5mm on 650. (you can plug a 6xx in to anything 3.5mm and use adapter is 6.5mm req. )
    - Subtle cosmetic changes, including massdrop logo inside band.

Yeah the wait from Mass drop is agony. Especially for us.

Bought keycaps and they took 4 months to arrive.

But at least you know they wont come for a while, so you can grab a bargain if you can wait. Otherwise pay retail/street for some hd650's and be happy you got them straight away.

Vastly different beasts mate. Side-grade if anything.

I had the HD650 for a while, enjoyable.

It's funny since Z Reviews reckon they are vastly similar beasts.

    I cant speak for HD650s

But i do have HD600s and K7XX. Imo the K7XX are more open with a larger soundstage and more clarity on the higher end. Almost say the K7XX is more analytical - I use them for classical musical. The HD600s are warmer, a bit more musical/intimate/fun.

The HD600 measure and sound more neutral. All the K7XX series are from neutral.
