I guess it depends on what you need. Are you specifically locked into Microsoft formats, or do you just want to make documents, spreadsheets and presentations for your own needs?

We're a Google GSuite shop, and it's anywhere from 1/2 to 1/4 the price for the equivalent business feature set of Office 365. But we're not locked into Microsoft formats, so it's a no-brainer for us. Zero advantage in spending the extra money for no gain in our particular business.

I'm no accountant but if it's for work can't you just get it and claim back at the end of the tax year?
