He was here for 19 years, so he had a pretty good run.
Good for him. I think it's a little bit easier to say goodbye to a pet when they've had a "decent innings".
Sorry to hear about Sylvester
As yesterday was National Dog Day, I want to post that my Sally would now be (almost) 20 years old. Original post from 6 years ago.
Every day I wish she was still here, but I know she lived, and am thankful she was part of my life.
Sally was special, I can see it.
Rest in peace my dearest Hershey. She was the first pet since I moved to Australia. She was 9 years and 4 months old, which is prety respectable for a rabbit.
She was an indoor-only bun and had free run of the house. I'll miss hearing her running though the hallway and clawing at my bedroom door so that she could dash under the bed, or having to shuffle my feet for fear of stepping on her as she runs circles around my legs. She loved cuddling up on the floor to watch TV in front of the fireplace, or jumping on the couch and grabbing food right from your mouth if you weren't careful.
I'm even more sad for Joseph, her partner of 6 years. He's all alone again so I hope he'll recover quickly.
RIP to 10 of the 14 ducklings I just pulled out of the pool. I've managed to save you all every day this week. Today was Father's Day and I was out.
oh, I'm so sorry. How upsetting. The only thing worse than the endless worrying is when the worrying is given a reason.
