Any info on this? Can't find anything on their site
9AM AEST, nothing is on their site
Cheers. Will check it out.
There is a banner add on their main site that shows the SNES Mini, click on that and it takes you to the Club Catch sign up stuff that I mentioned before.
From what I gather a new item will go up every hour starting from 9am as clonex said so I think it will be a matter of checking back every hour to see when the SNES is up.
They've just gone up on www.catch.com.au showing as 500 for sale, you need to be a member of Club Catch to order it, I got my order in, $131.95 incl shipping.
Now SOLD OUT.
got a tax bill this year, hopefully i can scalp my 2 preorders for a good price and make a dent in it
Dirty rumour of the day: Nintendo have asked Walmart to cancel all SNES Mini pre-orders:
Let the baseless speculation begin!
This would suggest Nintendo has met manufacturing difficulties and won't be able to fulfil the initial shipments?
Quite possible. Or that they want to force walk-ins, physical limits per customers, and avoid the eBay scalpers. Or both.
Historically, this isn't the first time Nintendo has strong-armed retailers. So while it's still 100% rumour-mill, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
Rumour of the last week there. Something about them releasing pre-orders too early.
ohh ouch, i'd be ultra disappointed if i were one of the people that got a pre-order and got the cancellation E-mail!
I'm waiting angry people demanding compensation from Walmart to appear all over the internet
In case anyone's interested, you can now pre-order from Harvey Norman (of all places). Stock still available.
No stock anywhere I can find
Edit: postage is available
i went into a harvey norman store today, and they took my preorder only if i paid in full?
hence i placed my preorder, and hope it is filled
You know. The more I think on it... The more it saddens me that not including Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 is a massive missed opportunity.
I never did get to own the second and third iterations of the franchise on the SNES. And they always looked appealing. Such a shame!
Same with not having Super Mario All Stars so we could compare the games between the NES and SNES classics.
whilst everyone agrees with this... the most important people do not.
they company that made donkey kong games for snes was 'rare' and they got bought out by microsoft in the early 2000's...
and that is the end of that
And yet. Donkey Kong Country is on the system.
Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3 is on the 3DS Virtual Console.
Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3 is on the Wii U Virtual Console.
Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3 is on the Wii Virtual Console.
Nintendo owns the license to Donkey Kong.
All these people focusing on and complaining about what it doesn't have - what about what it *does* have? In my opinion, it simply having Super Metroid, Zelda LttP and Secret of Mana alone makes it worth $120. You're also getting Donkey Kong Country, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Mario World and Yoshi's Island as icing. Everything else is decoration adding to an treat already worth its value.
Sure it would be great if it had more games, but it's got a lot of good games with it anyway.. and $120 is peanuts really.
