About time? Too little too late? Glory praise be to Apple?

The current gen Mac Pros are terribly designed, there is no doubt. Good on Apple for admitting that publicly after all this time. But now we have to wait until 2018 some time to get a tower that can hold a motherboard and some PCI-E slots?

cleaning out the garage, and i've got 3 x iBook G4's and a previous gen iBook i want to tidy up and donate/sell to a collector
so from what i read on Google, i need the Mac OS X disc to do a full factory restore

i don't have these discs

so i did some more searching, and did this to one of the machines (one of the G4's):

1. boot computer and hold the "apple" key and the "s" key.
2. wait for terminal show
3. release keys
4. type without the quotes: "/sbin/mount -uaw"

Yesterday I upgraded the wife's computer to Catalina. Then had a heap of issues getting Photos to sync so she could get the photos of our recent holiday. Poked and prodded it for a day (e.g. created new photos library, logged in and out of iCloud etc) and couldn't get it to Sync at all. All throughout I noticed that accountd and secd processes where consuming heaps of CPU and throwing a bunch of console errors.

I tried resetting permissions...
