I've got a pond that has been set up for about 6 months now with crimson rainbow fish and pacific blue eyes in it along with lots of plants, it is about 4,500Ltrs. I do basic water tests on it and the PH is always good at 7.0 - 7.2, 0ppm Nitrates, 0ppm Nitrates.

However I ran out of test juice and grabbed a pack of test strips on the weekend and it includes an alkalinity test patch. All of my normal results came back the same but alkalinity (Which I've never tested for before)...
Glow/UV Aquarium ornaments. In general priced $2 - $8 each. I spent $40
Blue Glow Gravel $7
Blacklight/UV waterproof led strip $40
Everyone makes very positive comments when they see the aquarium and was very cheap to setup and minimal maintenance. I use an air stone to keep the water...

Hi, I'm thinking of adopting a shelter cat, but I am mildy allergic. I am aware of the major hypoallergenic cat breeds, but the chances of a ragdoll or anything like a sphinx in shelters, I'd imagine, would be incredibly low.

I've lived with cats before, I've lived with someone with a domestic short hair, which was manageable with my allergies, but I was hoping to ask around to see if anyone else has had experience or recommendations for a cat breed that is either short hair/low shedding or...

Hi all,

I have 3 year old Coovodle and has had top insurance from HCF (Petsure) since 8 weeks old.

Im thinking about changing providers to another “recognised” insurer on top cover.

Is there anything I should be weary of in changing providers?

Hi all

As per a suggestion from this post by Urban Jungle, I decided to start up a thread where anyone can swap/trade/give-away plants.

Post up what you've got, what you want etc etc. Basically the same as the Fish Swap thread but concentrating only on plants.

Cheers,
