about to go into a box and stored.....with the wheels I have and other things. I wouldnt get close to getting the $'s it deserves

After drilling holes and breaking bits ( no idea which were the correct ones ) I installed it on the rig but had a problem getting the Wheel to work ( flashing green start button???? ).....but finally have it working and strange thing is with both at 11nM the Prima wheelbase is a lot stronger. The Prima base is plenty strong and I cant see anyone other then Popeye needing something bigger and stronger. The wheel is great but for some reason they put 2 plastic "things" on the back that are gear shifters. In over 20 years of race gear have not seen a worse gear lever. They work ok but plastic????

The wheel is good, not as Good as the SC2Pro but better value.
Couldn't get Automobilista 2 2 to recognize turn left/right so got a refund but maybe I have found what could have been the problem.

anyone see the new Bently wheel for Fanatec...... just a shade under $2000

Thanks for the free advertising :)

I got fed up with my NLR F-GT rig and ended up with a TR80 Mk5, wish I went for the TR160 for $100 difference though with their latest discounts... wow is building a profile rig fun!

My Moza R21 doesn't really fit well enough for my long legs and my knees get in the way... so had to find something to replace it, in comes simagic.. I'm not ready to spend Asetek or Simucube money yet...

When it's all together haha I'll get some photos.

    Promising.

Heard one of the devs mention VR during an interview, particularly in reference to high simulation hertz (720Hz) to help with VR and high refresh monitors, as well as FFB so that’s good news.

Looks like it still needs a lot of time in the oven, hope they don’t rush it… but they seem to think it’s close to ready, so we’ll see.

Hot damn, the universal force feedback driver has been merged into the latest Linux kernel and backported to stable ones.

tl;dr: Whole bunch of direct drive wheelbases now just work out of the box in Linux. Was just having a drift with the Moza R21 in Assetto Corsa. AC Evo runs like a dream as well. :D

Android app works well for on the fly wheelbase tweaks.

Will play with the bass shaker tomorrow, but can't see that putting up much of a fight given its basically just an audio out if I can get simhub to talk with the games. (or research a linux alternative)

That was pretty well the only thing left tying me to windows. :D

actually I am starting to enjoy Le Mans Ultimate. Coming from 14 years of open wheelers in iRacing its hard to get used to, well the Gt3 ones are but the others are fun to drive

Not really, I'd only seen a few random forum posts mentioning that universal-pidff had been merged into the 6.15 kernel a few weeks back. Haven't gone digging for the actual kernel commit.

Was watching for a while, and with new kernel releases out since then, I've confirmed that my wheelbase now works out of the box (6.14.4 kernel) without any tinkering. Previously I could get inputs, but no force feedback, so this is a great success on my system. Looking at the supported device list from the original github, looks like it should open up quite a few wheelbases.

Interested to see where this leads now they've got a foot in the door so to speak with their first kernel commit.

Might give this a try with my trusty old OSW...
Would be pretty sweet to run just Linux on the Sim rig PC.

So I have finally entered the world of sim racing. I was looking at the moza R5 bundle at first but I found this used for a bit more so I grabbed it. Total was around the cost of the logitech direct drive wheel.

It should last me a long time I reckon. I have no rig yet but I will get one custom built as I know people who build things and the off the shelf ones are just way too big and heavy for the area I am setup in.

My rig (in the post at the moment)

    Simucube 2 Sport

Custom CNC made D shape wheel with dual shifters and 10 programmable buttons and encoders with Simucube QR

VRS dual pedal set (no clutch, will get it later or look at another brand pedal for the clutch if it is better and more realistic feel)

I will look into shifters and handbrakes and other wheels (I want a rally one and a F1 one) at a later stage.

overall I am very happy. I will share pics once I have it set up.

EDIT: I got a refund on a double up ebay purchase and brought the VRS clutch pedal so I am set.

Indeed. But considering a simmagic basic setup was 2.5K (the cheapest base, pedals and wheel) and the moza setup was $830 and has crap pedals (the whole point of getting the sim rig - to learn pedal control alongside general driving skill), I think I did pretty well.

The next question is designing the rig to hold it.
