0xA5 ACPI_BIOS_ERROR

Does anyone have the HP N40L BIOS Ver. 2013.10.0 ? cant download it from hp without going through hoops about active warranty

i'm getting 0xA5 ACPI_BIOS_ERROR on boot as soon as windows starts to load from what i have read it could be a corrupt bios



i have tried memtest and got no errors
not really sure what else to do.

can't boot in safe mode or recovery mode since it BSOD as soon as it starts loading windows files

any ideas?

 

new bios sort of fixed it.

it still wouldnt boot into it for a few goes then after changing settings and multiple boots it finally booted in.
i done virus and MBAM scan both come up good.
cleaned a heap of crap off it and have rebooted 4 times without the issue but dont feel like powering it off as thats when it seems to have the issue

 

Short lived
If it boots into the os its fine. If i reboot its fine but if i power down then i get the error next boot
