Why do i hear Mick's laff from Wolf Creek when i read this!

I knocked this up in a couple of hours for less than $11 bux worth of bunning's material's yesterday. Of course it's for my current worklog project and nothing to do with this challenge, but it just shows how easy it would be to knock a full blown mod for under $60 even. Add in a couple of sheets and some bondo action and you just might have HP-Resurrection 7 on your hands :D

I'm in, if I can source some internals.

What's the policy on power switches? They don't come with motherboards and I'm not sure Bunnings has anything suitable. They sell household light switches, but iirc computer switches don't have a simple on/off mechanism...?

Can we regard the power switch as a motherboard component for the purpose of this build?

    finally starting this....

just want to know if we're allowed to "bend" the rules slightly to avoid wastage. can we use products we already have at home, that bunnings sell and just include them in the total to avoid buying more.

so if i'm welding some steel, i already have some craft right (bunnings brand) welding rods, to save me buying a packet can i just include the $12 onto my total?? same with things like electrical tape, bunnings sell the nitto brand, can i just add the $2 it would cost to save me specifically buying another roll. again unless you can find and link the specific items off the bunnings website it shouldn't be allowed to be used?

I already asked those questions, never got a definitive answer, just insults.

No is the Rule, if more than half the people entered are for a rule change, than the rule can be changed, ultimately its down to the individual:)

I can't wait to see the winning Selleys Space Invader build. $20.48 a can at Bunnings. Should go a long way.

Agreed, or a link beside their name where the contestants signed up. I'd love to see some of these, the only one I have seen anything of so far is Havabeers excellent BBQ.

I regretfully have to withdraw from this.
I know it's "only" $100 but I've had some unexpected expenses and just can't justify the spend for a bit of fun.
Thanks, sorry, and all the best to other entrants I am following your logs with great interest !

    Bugger vladtepes :(

That's like me... looking for a job + paying rent + stupidly high power bills = every cent needs to be accounted for.

    Cheers mate....

Maybe next year I'll compete if this is on. Quite a few tools, quite a few ingenius ideas, but zero money at the moment.
