It's good idea of things but not accurate.

I have SP118 and SP87 and they both same in terms of OC potential and clock to voltage ratio.

SP92 under 360mm custom water cooling

    I'm setting

    Multi: 54x
    Cores: 3
    Multi: 53x
    Cores: 6
    Multi: 52x
    Cores: 10
    AVX offset: -1

I'm not seeing 54x when doing single thread benchmarks, ie CPU-Z single core

cinebench r23 seems to be doing the correct frequency ie 53x because of the avx offset. What am I missing?

Just starting to plan, should I go for the Intel?

    10700F - $459
    5600X - $499

2 extra cores at $40 less with Intel? Is that right?

10700F is multiplier locked, and despite 2 extra cores is merely on par with 5600x stock/stock in mulithreaded workloads , slower in single threaded / per core performance /gaming perf

Basically the opposite of older Ryzen CPU's vs Intel MT parity counterparts

Hey guys 10900K here trying to get stable at 5.3. Running 1.35v but wont complete cinebench even up to 1.38v.
any other voltage settings needed for 5.3?
System is sold at 1.3 for 5.2.
LLC is turbo. Gigabyte Elite Mobo.
    thanks

Yeah that's about right for an ordinary 10th gen. You probably didn't get lucky with the silicon.

Temp is big factor. You will probably find if you could keep temperature under 70 degrees load it would pass. Silicon quality variance is huge on 10th gen Intel unfortunately.

Yeah funny its solid in games at 1.36. Was thinking it was something else other tjan cpu that cinebench stresses. Aida64 is fine as well. Temps are around 60 max while gaming. Aida64 goes to 80.

Yeah would pass if you kept under 70 in Aida and cinebench but that's hard to do. Anything over 70 degrees on these deminishes stability.

Naa that's just how it is, a good chip will do 5.3-5.4 Aida and cinebench. So yours is normal for average.

Let's keep discussion about Intel 10th generation CPU's and refrain from posting links to firmware updates...

    Cheers Guys!

What did you go with in the end?

There's a new Beta firmware available now for the Asus Strix Z490-e gaming....

Yeah unable to do 5.3 cinebench is just very average chip and running too hot still which makes it worse.

Delid with IHS on only improves 5-10 degrees depending on how shit your factory solder job was.

I was trying to explain that the only way for daily crazy high speed is that.... combined with the chip you're selling but
