Yer pretty much the best gaming CPU atm.. great time to build gg gaming PC for relatively cheap IF you can find new EVGA 3080 for $1200(possible if you ordered one at the launch day).

p.s. lolololol Spit just told me that he'll have to do RA on his 3090 Kingpin already, think he killed it after getting 40K on Superposition :D

I think that's his very first time with 3090 Kingpin.. (but his like 7th Kingpin.. he's just very very unlucky, always seem to get faulty cards that breaks after 1-2 week, even with other brands/models)

Personally I found 10th gen better for me. Overclocking for cpu/ram way easier and pc more rock solid stable.

This was from 9900k/Apex xi to 10900kf/Apex xii. No regrets on my upgrade and think I will actually be holding onto my current set up for quite awhile this time.

Interested to see how a 11900k goes though.

I had zero regret upgrading to 10700K(from 9900KS), it was a better overclocker, ran much cooler, 3x warranty and I also liked the Z490 bios... but it was still boring :upset:

11th gen should be fun(thx to IPC boost, finally) imo

I think 10th gen was great. It came with a big increase in IMC strength which was the best thing about it really.

Bad things were same old intel and insanely sensitive to temperature. Very interested to see how 11th gen fairs in both IMC and temperature sensitivity.

Boring being that it's been on the same architecture. Finally we off skylake at least. Some excitement to be had being that it's first major architectural overhaul in over 5 years I guess which is something.

i would wait a little to give 10900k/kf for dead once 11gen is out.... still it I'll be the fastest 10 cores up to date;)

Really it's not boring that' its on 14nm (I think you meant same process) if you're an extreme OCer.. smaller nodes , even when they go to plan are rarely the best for achieving higher Freq initially.. This has been the case every single time for Intel Since Finfet launched.

Yes, AMD are getting instant higher frequencies with each move to a smaller node at the moment, but that's a different kettle of fish. The older Nodes , 14nm-12nm GF didn't lend themselves to high Freq as well and half the extra frequency of Zen 3 vs 2 is design related. The other, process related ( i.e a higher perf 7nm variant.)

Intel's 14nm ++ is the polar opposite. Has been refined and tailored for frequency Over density (and power)

Maybe don't sell your used 10900K for cheap yet..

"Intel Core i9-11900K 8 Core Rocket Lake Flagship CPU Benchmarked at 5.2 GHz, Faster Than Core i9-10900K In Single-Core But Slower in Gaming & Multi-Threaded Apps"
    https://wccftech.com/intel-core-i9-...00k-5-2-ghz-overclock-benchmarks-gaming-leak/

gj buying SP98 10900KF for $650 today

But I wouldn't take that news too seriously until we see proper bench.. it's from WTFTech(dodgiest tech news site on the net... by far!!! they publish too much bs just for hits) & also Intel's aren't that stupid
