Awesome- what Mother board did you go for?
Asus maximus xii.
I'm bored so I might buy it .
fook wanted to wait but too tempted .
Spit i like the cut of your jib
PLE says they have already sold their initial delivery and won't get more until 4/06/2020, 10900kf and asus z490-F are both on this date they claim. Anybody else got an update with dates for delivery? Might change store if others actually have stock.
5.5ghz? Can barely hold stock boost it seem. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/i...umption-reads-235wtemperatures-hits-93°c.html
That's what i thought
I chose the 10900k because it riles people up the most. My response to "why not AMD" is: "oh i thought they just made graphics cards".
Read that too, it was running on an average 240 AIO cooler.
I've been going through some of the gigabyte manuals and marketing materials and found a number of references to all core overclock a to 5.5ghz. I've achieved 5.2ghz all core overclock on my i9 9900k so will be interested if that holds up.
And again, until we see mass reviews on the 20th it's a bit difficult to know exactly what it's overclocking capabilities are.
Intel covers the 10900k under its overclocking insurance plan now, which is new. That might be indicia as well for something that clocks higher than stock.
235w draw, 93 deg under a 240mm AIO? That's insane. That's at stock too.. not an extreme O/C.
He had another stress test running with aida64, temps are normal for the workload on a 240mm aio( it could be a shitty aio or bad pasted too).
They can't screw up right now, because AMD is on their back, i don't think Intel would pull out a new gen worst than previous one.
Ks will go higher than 5.2 on all cores easily .
They didnt have a choice.. 9th gen was the limit for 14++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and this is just pushing things to extreme. Bit like Radeon back in the day releasing heaters trying to keep up with GeForce.
I just see what they can do and how the compare to the gaming top dog, the ks
At end of the day, 7nm 14+++ who cares, as long it performs best in gaming and we good.
Just hope its better than the ks.
That can OC quite a bit
I'm mainly interested in how fast it can go .
@spit Are you sticking with KS, or planning to move to 10th gen
I'm not sure.
If it can OC to to 5.6-5.7, I might be interested .
4 days until reviews.
I haven't pulled the trigger on the Cpu yet, just waiting to see if any difference between K and KS. I suspect that KF would run cooler at same clock speeds with K. However I've got on pre order the maximus xii and can't wait to test my RAM on it
