How golden is it? Wanna race
x2 ram board if serious
been a long time since properly overclocked haha, sure! 3200 c14 gskills i have will do 3866 c12 @ 1.9v, that was back with my silicon lottery 7700k, which had a great ICM, not sure how the ICM is on this 8086k, havnt tested throughly!
the 8086K is about to be retired to the MRS pc , where it will spend its life for word/excel,. and the casual game of fortnite and overwatch!
EDIT:: Its real now!
Watercooling ordered - also new EK quantam blocks, wtf, who would paid $400+ for a cpu block, thats nuts.
Where is everyone ordering from?
PLE, scorptec, mwave ....take your pick
Anyone knows when those i5 will come? There is no ETA for i5 K SKUs from the retailers I normally shop with.
At jw they told me i5 i7 they are in stock
Why aren't you getting the 9k ?
No reason to buy it when you know it only has a life of 6 months and I do not want a mini 6950X which I cannot cool right now.
Should have kept your chiller
First looks like genuine performance review out for 10900K. This is possibly Chinese language I think that I don't understand, but from the bit I understood, looks like this 10 core in some cases was able to match up to the 12 core 3900X.
338w at 4.9ghz
Not surprised with the heat output considering a 6950X overclocked will draw over 300W too under stress test According to that reviewer a 360 liquid cooler is the minimum requirement to cool the 10900K.
On the other hand Arctic and Thermalright must be very happy cuz one has one of the best performing 280 and 360 AIO around while the other has 8 heat pipes air coolers with a TDP of 320W, I wonder if Noctua NH D15 will handle a 10900K.
If you are using a 2080ti as well , going to need a beefy psu
The 9900ks at 5.1 will draw 320w.so its not that bad
My ks pulls 230 watts @ 5.3 with good cooling .
That was a cinebench run too.
Are you sure about 320 watts ?
According to guru3d.
Anyone got any tips on who will have stock first, etc? Keep an eye on OCUK for OEM CPU's also for those interested, when 9900k dropped i got one here before they were available in stores.
