They must be system power. Not package power
the 3700x 8 core cpu, is a total beauty.
Low power, high performance, 7nm , IMC strong as hell work of art for amd there.
WCCftech has put out an article showing a early leaked review- A few highlights- gaming performance is better than AMD counterparts: Specifically on average 3.3% faster than a AMD 3950X or 4.1% faster than a AMD 3900X. Few specific points from the article:
i9 10900K power consumption and temperature are high again, 360 integrated water cooling is the minimum heat dissipation standard
Rely on CPU rendering + transcoding applications, or choose Ryzen 9 is stronger
Playing games and daily operations Application, the new i9 at 5GHz + clock speed is indeed faster
The overclocking performance comparison test of the three processors has been completed, and it will be launched in the near future
Finally, correct the memory parameters in the configuration list, AMD X570 part, the frequency is DDR4 -3600 The timing is 18-22-22-42 1T FCLK = 1800
Key takeaways- in every instance other than gaming performance (which is negligible at best) AMD is better at this stage. Once that 4 Series drops, I think that its only advantages in Gaming are going to drop off.
i have an order for a 10900KF (not that im an intel fanboy) but like playing with new hardware, and was out of the scene when ryzen 3000 was released.
but some retailers now saying it could be a month before they actually received a shipment of 10900k and mid July before they received 10900KF,
Im not waiting a month or 2 if thats the case, thats lame as
If change the order to K variant, probably get it faster than KF.
Been ringing around, and looks like mid june for K and mid july for KF
Doesn't look good. $100 more for a usueless inbult GPU? lame
I am not going to use the igpu, but some time for troubleshoot it is handy. Plus holds better value and in this case get 1 it months before KF.
May be worth it the exra $
Aren't they a slightly higher bin since with the KF it's more that the igpu didn't cut it or something so was disabled?
Maybe that's with the previous 9XXX series...I cant keep up anymore with Intel. I actually went from a 6700K to 3900X as I wanted the cores and 9 series jsut wasn't really great for me without going full HEDT at even more cost.
Have plenty of shitty pci-e vid cards around! haha, If i can get a 10900K this week then i will pay the extra.
Ye will see, literally placed orders with just about all retailers i could, some saying 21/05 for dispatch, and others now saying its ALL delayed, and 10900K wont be till mid June, and KF will now be mid JULY
Unsure if they are higher binned or not, same SPECS, dont need iGPU, why not save $100?
i dont need to upgrade 8086k @ 5.3Ghz with 2080 super @ 4k plenty fast enough, just want to play with new hardware! Mrs needs an upgrade, her i3 6100 is struggling @ 1440p, so idea was give her the 8086k! (dont want to sell the 8086k as its a golden chip!)
haha, we've all got our reasons mate. What i was meaning though is that maybe the K will yield more than the KF if you're going to try and push it for shits and giggles
yea, just edited my post, realisaing didnt actually answer your post.
Unsure if the K are better binned then the KF, unsure, do fine it unusual they are not going to be available at the same time!
IF all goes well, will have the 10900k and strix ITX this week! but its looking more likley not going too be till mid June
Speaking of reasons, Atm in order to access my work , i have my lightning z vga, rm 1000i psu, Gskill royal ram installed in to a b250/i3 7100.
I have feeling that is going to be a long waiting till i can play a game again
From memory, the KF models from the 9 series (9900KF Specifically v 9900K) didn't overclock as well as the K Chips- consistently in the benchmarks that I've seen anyway. That's the only reason I went for the 10900K.
Jesus! Talk about a bottleneck! How do you find the lighting z? (thats the 2080ti model?) I have the equivalent model roughly with the EVGA 2080ti FTW3 Ultra (Non-reference power design lets me hit 2210mhz clock speeds stable).
Bottleneck as fk. The ram kit are highly binned too to top it up.
The 2080 ti lighting z?
Just got it not long ago, literally peeled the wrap off few days back to do some benchmarks with my old 9900k and Strix z390 before getting rid of them. Can't say much but i am thinking to install a waterblock soon on it. Boost same ad the aorus Xtreme i had before but not 2210mhz for sure, max i notice was 2160 with on air. Definitely It needs a big case to fit in.
That's awesome. Yeah, I'm still rocking a Corsair 780T case due to its size and ease of installation/good airflow options for biggest enthusiast parts. I haven't bothered going down the liquid route for my GPU, the cooler holds it at under 70C even with that overclock and increased power draw. I'll just be upgrading it to a Amphere GPU once they launch!
Are you hitting 2210 mhz on air ?
Open to swap my lightning z with your ftw 3
Would anyone here pay the $150 Intel tax for a 4% boost, only in games?
