*Raises hand guiltily*
Say you were on a fixed budget, wouldn't that $150 be better spent on graphics?
I guess people considering $1000 CPUs don't have budgets lol
I understand for a lot of people thats absurd- completely get that- especially if you are a content creator or have a use for more than 8 cores.
I don't though and merely enjoy the hobby of pushing hardware to get better fps in games- my monitor resolution and preference for a higher frame rate means that's worth it to me. I can probably eek out more than 4% with effective overclocking as well.
I guess at least they're less compatability issues. I still ran into a few hiccups with Ryzen at first. Then needing the special power plan etc. Intel does kinda just work which is nice. But i'm happier i switched still.
100% agree. If I was gaming on a budget id definitely say those $ would be best spent elsewhere.
I recently bought and built my mate a 3600 set up with a 5700xt. Awesome set up for the price point and good for 2k gaming.
Yes but you're assuming this hobby is built around efficiency and logic - it isn't always. Sometimes people buy things just for fun, a weird concept I know
Also if you have a 2080S or 2080Ti already, what is $150 going to buy you?
If you are building to a budget then obviously these options aren't for you and a ryzen setup makes the most sense.
Haha! Silicon Lottery I guess- I've seen people in the forums with the same card pushing it higher than that- one bloke could hit 2250 stable and had evidence to boot. Its a huge cooler though.
Whilst the GPU remains cool, some of the VRAM modules get pretty toasty!
when i get the 10900k, wont even be the most expensive CPU i have bought! also have owned 7900X and 5960x, both of which were around $1300-$1400 when i bought them!
Exactly, needs aside, for my needs, dont need the hardware, and for most, they dont either, in that case, money better spent on ryzen
This - im lucky (or stupid enough) to be able to burn money on new hardware, haha, everyone has their vices!
Anyone knows when the CPU/boards is suppose to ship?
The Asus i pre ordered I'll be relases the 7th july. So i am expecting it around mid July. I think we all in the same boat.
Where do you order from? I preordered from scorptec. If it doesn't all come in for me within two weeks, I'll cancel the order. They stipulated they are expecting stock in on Thursday for send out latest by Friday.
I've pre order my motherboard from mwave and my cpu from scorptec. Yes i think they would get a lot of cancelled orders btw. Is the covid situations that makes it bad
Shopping square is boasting about having plenty of stock to me, hmmm may have over promised a few clients.
Mwave have a video with the aorus line up z490 on YouTube, so they are available indeed for some customers
Board is not much good without the chip .
I suppose you hang it on your wall
Easy to find a board that a chip .
How about the 10700k?
8 core 16 threads 5.1 all core 125w TDP,
Basically a 9900KS for $749 AUD. Well done Intel!
Am i the only one to think amd have nothing over intel? Even at a lower nm amd still cant outperform intel unless they have neae double the cores and even then only in some productivity apps.
Intel rule gaming
We found CJ’s alter ego. The retarded spelling and grammar have given you away again piglet.
