Had mine done, back now for a week and all is good. 100% battery health and you get a 3 year warranty on it!

Very happy to keep this machine going for a few more years.

Just don't take it on a plane. Most airlines are now banning 15" MacBook Pros no matter what year they were made, or whether they have had the battery replaced, as their staff can't tell the difference between models. Previously they allowed them in carry on luggage.

I traveled from Melbourne to Gold Coast last Thursday with Virgin and back on Sunday with Jetstar, no-one even looked twice at my MacBook Pro, just went through on hand luggage without issues.

They're allowing them on carry on if they're switched off. Obviously this'll be up to the airlines discretion.

Heard about someone that flew somewhere with it as carry on, and when they went to fly back, the airline had changed the rule and banned them from taking the MacBook on the plane.

I had my 13" Macbook Pro rejected on the last flight i took, ended up having to get a colleague to come to the airport to pick it up from me.

    Probably for the best though:

Now to find out whether Apple will warranty it, or if im SOL and need to get a replacement battery.
