My USB adapters came today, can finally test to make sure they work!

Still waiting on my m.2 to SATA and m.2 to mSATA adapters.

Are people finding these get very warm when in use?

still dont have my adapters, ordered 14/2. The seller screwed me big time as they marked it as posted on 15th but really only posted on 6th March !!! really pissed of with them for lack of communication.

Not sure if to wait or buy from somewhere else who offers EMS postage. hmmm

Just a heads up that I bought some adapter/enclosures from a store in the US.

Shipped within 4 hours of placing the order. Total time was 11 days. Had USPS tracking. Was ~$15 for shipping.

I wanted full enclosures rather then just the adapter so bought 5x of these: http://www.microsatacables.com/m-2-ngff-sata-key-b-m-ssd-to-sata-adapter-with-case

I got this one because they specifically mention the sandisk drive.

They have a whole heap of other adapters/converters. Not as cheap as the ebay specials but cheaper then AU stocked items with decent delivery. http://www.microsatacables.com/drive-adapters-and-drive-converters/m-2-ngff

Plugged into the work PC i am getting 502/MBs reads and 311MB/s writes so enclosures work a treat. All hardware provided and the holes line up :p

I have been using one of these SanDisks as my OS drive for a couple of weeks. You really can't say no to a $38 delivered 128GB SSD.

Shame you lose a couple of SATA ports using the M.2 on the MSI Z97S Krait.

You guys are doing it wrong. Get the brass thingy and hammer it into the hole you need. Lines up perfectly!

I thought about that but I didn't want to crack the PCB. A hammer isn't exactly part of my tech toolbox... but if you say so I'll give it a shot.

Haven't be able to check any of mine, still waiting on adapters lol. Hopefully they all work :|.

The price for these units seems to be quickly rising, saw it at $42 and now $56 lol.

Yeah. Only have 2 SATA3 ports, so 3 drives are running at SATA2 unfrotunately.

Here's a quick bench before work:

Could you post up a pic of the cable end?

How are you powering them? I see one molex there, I assume molex to sata. One for each adapter?

Will be able to post one after work. It's a Molex connector crimped onto 5x sata power connectors, so only one plug required!

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as SFF8087 to M2 NGFF connectors for raid cards?

So my new adapters from AliExpress arrived  Much nicer then those Ebay ones i have.

I have an issue though. If i have two of the drives connected, only one detects the other one doesn't but gets really warm?

Its not a faulty drive or adapter since they all work when connected individually.

    Running a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3R-B3

Have these gone up in price? I ordered the adapter from overseas a couple of weeks ago. I figured If I order the ssds today they'd arrive at the same time.

$45.50 now compared to $38 2 weeks ago.

Has any1 tried an SSD in a PS3? I remember Rockband would lag like crazy sometimes.
