had the kit for a while and just found my round tuit. feels smooth, I need to make a cheek riser for it though. kit went together nicely although I am not really a fan of having to glue the slug into the end of the plunger tube, or how the alloy tube is just held into the bolt base with 3 screws. a flange on the end of the tube and a retaining collet would be a better design and ensure concentricity.

also grabbed a Caliburn 4 kit that arrived today, figuring out a colour scheme now.

God there's some sexy looking C4's out there! i was thinking about a C4 on my journey to 400 :)

Yer i waited along time to do a Cynth... prolly too long now with blasters like ontos and sbl2 and python around now... Even the Smiley makes it feel redundant.... but it's good to see how far blaster design has come. SB just hasnt moved with the times.

OK so printing the angled mags didn't work cos the magwell on the gears vector is way too tight for printable mags.

Edit: it seems my microswitches arrived. I have something to do tonight.

I think I know why my GV build isn't working: I may have bought a high (3000) RPM N20 motor and it is too fast too stop... should have read the FAQ. :D

gonna order < 1000 RPM motors instead.

EDIT: ordered 2 750RPM motors. hopefully this will be the end of it.

Edit2: ummm... Should have ordered 12v motors and not 6v motors.... Fark.

yep, 3d printed mags don't work and i got the magic smoke on my motors. fun.

edit: now waiting for blastertech to get 18 dart angled mags back in stock. i would go to places like aliexpress to get those mags but someone at the ABF is gonna chuck a stink.

edit2: gdi another pair of motors bit the dust....probably cos i am using old darts.

Springers work best with fresh darts that have firm foam. You'll get used to the feel of the darts and be able to tell when they're getting soft. UV exposure will degrade the foam much quicker. You can still use worn darts in flywheelers but you might start having jams and decapped heads.

i have suffered this fate with flywheelers: 2 pairs decided to give up the magic smoke.

so like disposables / consumables... right.
