Too cheap and easy to buy filament at so many other places now. Locally and online of course.

Bondtech INDX has been delayed by at least a couple of months.

Not surprising and I want them to polish it before releasing so I'll be waiting patiently to see more in the future.

not surprised 3dfillies is gone tbh, I've seen some of the costs behind the scenes and it's pretty grim. All about how much volume you can churn more than anything and the guys just running stuff out of a garage or small warehouse can't keep up with the bigger outfits.

Being able to get stuff from ebay or aliexpress cheaper and in higher volume with the same shipping times makes it incredibly challenging unless you have a customer base that really likes to see things in person before buying.

If you're printing as a hobbyist you're probably getting it from jaycar or amazon, if you're printing as part of a business operation every dollar cheaper counts if you're ripping through 100 rolls a month saving $5 on each of them adds up real real fast.

And here I am trying to get the guys at work to stop using the stratasys filaments at $750 a kilo.

'oh we had trouble with the X1E layer adhesion'

how do you even have issues with X1E layer adhesion, with a basic PVA glue stick i've applied a total of twice on my P1S I haven't had an adhesion issue in months, and I don't even wipe dust off my print bed when I barely use it

No idea! This was 3rd hand info my the time it got to me.

Didn't help that the guy that bought it, whom I helped set it all up, got made redundant, and the other guy in that department has suddenly been dumped with a lot of extra work

Might have not cleaned the plate properly? Even if it's brand new, there might be some oils/dust from storage or from the packaging.

Made a start on the filament swatches.
Took a while to get the Brother label printer printing the correct size label, not supported by the filament web app.
If nothing else, it's a good opportunity to sort out the filament stash

and of course some gridfinity to store them

I spent $10 on the P1S light and $8 on the a1 light, and they are integrated into the printer controls :)

The poor cameras with these 3D printers, starving for light. Though the K2 Plus' camera is not bad, the LED upgrade/mod does make it so much even and easier to see (and spot) any issues that may come up.
